KARIN TI PURV

                      "Karin Ti Purv" was performed by Sateri Mahila Mandal Casarvarnem Pernem Goa. It was wonderful drama directed by Mr. Anand Naik. He took very hard effort to teach woman how to performed drama as they were performing for the first time. He selected few performers to play role in the drama. The participants of this drama are as follows. My mother Mrs. Akshaya Naik played the role of Putalabai, the role of Gajra played by Mrs. Sudha Naik, Mrs. Priyanka Parab played the role of Kaloji, the role of Shivaji and Baji played by Mrs. Manda  Naik and Mrs Sanika Dhuri respectively. The role of Siddhi Johar was played by Miss Sneha Naik. Mrs. Samidha Toraskar played very important role of Hiroji.

                        The stage decoration was provided by Natekar Decorators Mapusa Goa. This drama was performed at the time of "Gudi Padwa" in the Sateri temple Casarvarnem Pernem Goa. This drama was basically depend on Shivaji and his dublicate Hiroji's life. Hiroji's brother in law Kaloji accepted partnership with Siddhi Johar. Hiroji wanted to save the life of Shivaji so he dressed up like Shivaji and came in Siddhi Johar's palace but the Kaloji came there and tells Mughal king Siddhi Johar that the person which had came here is not a Shivaji but he is Hiroji dublicate of Shivaji's so at the end Siddhi Johar kills Hiroji.
                         In this drama we can see the great sacrifice of Hirojis wife. She allowed her husband to go in Siddhi Johar palace and save great  Maratha king Shivaji's life. In this drama Putalabai lost her brother Hiroji. Kaloji was responsible for the death of Hiroji. kaloji was a Maratha king and husband of Putalabai but he was corrupted and because of his mistake Hiroji lost his life. Putalabai lost her brother Hiroji and Gajra lost her husband.
                         From the " Karin Ti Purv" drama we come to know that many of our leaders sacrifice their life to get freedom from Mughal king.
                        The drama was fully energetic. All the performers were well played their role which was assigned to them by the Director. For the role of Hiroji got many cash prizes for his wonderful performance. All the audience were enjoying the drama till the end. I also witness and enjoyed this drama till the end. 

ETHE OSHALALA MRUTYU

                                 Ethe Oshalala Mrutyu was a wonderful drama which was performed by the Sateri Mahila Mandal Casarvarnem Pernam Goa. The writer of this drama was Mrs. Vasant Shankar Kanetkar from Maharashtra. In this drama he focused on Sambhaji's life.
                                  This drama was performed at the time of Gudi Padwa at Sateri temple of Casarvarnem village. The temple does not have their own stage so the problem of stage arised but it was solved by the Devasthan Committee Casarvarnem by providing their own stage. The stage was put in the parking place of the temple. The decoration for the stage was provided by the "Chanekar' Decorators Bicholim Goa.
                                   Ethe Oshalala Mrutyu was a historical drama. The Director of this drama was Mrs. Nilesh Naik from Sangavwada Ozarim Pernem Goa. He was a famous Director from our locality.  The drama was basically depend on the Sambhaji's life.
                          In this drama it was clearly showm how the Mughal king Aurangzeb trouble Maratha king Sambhaji his supporters and soldiers. Sambhaji's brother in low Gunoji Shirkhe meet the hand with Aurangzeb and he became detective for him. Gunoji Shirkhe provide all information about Sambhaji to Aurangzeb. Aurangzeb wanted to convert the Sambhaji's religion from Hindu to Muslim so he decided to arrest Sambhaji with the help of Gunoji Shirkhe. Aurangzeb first arrested the closest detective friend Kavikalash and put him in the jail then he troubled him to tell him about Sambhaji but Kavikalash was very loyal to Sambhaji so he did not provide any information to him.
                           Finally at the end of the drama Aurangzeb arrest Sambhaji and asked him to change his religion but Sambhaji  was a brave king he ignored him. This made Aurangzeb very upset and insulting so he attack Sambhaji and killed him and his friend Kavikalash.
                             In this drama my mother Mrs Akshaya Naik played the role of Pralhad Niraji. The role of Gunoji Shirke and Aurangzeb was played by Mrs. Priyanka Parab and Sanjivini Parab. The important role of Shivaji was played by Mrs. Sanika Dhuri, Kavikalsh by Mrs. Samidha Toraskar, and Yesubai by Mrs. Sudha Naik.
                             The drama was fully energetic. The  hard work of the Director was seen in the drama. All the participants were well prepared with their dialogues to performed this drama it was not an easy task but inspite of that womens performed it very  well.  There was very good response from the audiece. All the audience enjoyed this drama and witness it till the end and I also enjoyed it till it ends.               

                  

KIRVANT

                                   KIRVANT was very beautiful drama performed by Sateri Mahila Mandal Casarvarnem. It was performed during the Ramnavami. All the participants were basically womans from our village Casarvarnem. All performers were excellent in their role. The Director of this drama was Mr. Anand Naik and he is well known Director from Pernem taluka. The hard work took by the Director was seen in the drama.
                                  The problem of putting up of the stage does not arise as Ram Mandir (temple of god Ram) consist of one big hall with the stage. The stage decoration was done by the Kasarpal Decorators of Bicholim.
                                    Before the rehersal there was a audition in which only few were selected and some womans did not get chance to take part in the drama. My mother Mrs. Akshaya Naik was there in this drama she played the major role of Digambar Shashtri and my Aunt  Mrs. Jyotsna Naik played the role of Siddheshwar Shashtri's wife. Every participants were well prepared with their particular dialogue.
                                    The drama was basically depend on Shashtri's life. They show how the Brahmins fight within themselves for the "Antim karma" (funeral process). Siddheshwar Shashtri wanted his son to learn about the process of  "Antim Kriya Karma". But his brother Vasudev Shashtri was totally against him and he made Siddheshwar Shashtri's son to go school and learn.
                                        The drama was fully focused on one Brahmins family and how they were tortured by the other Brahmins. The role of Siddheshwar Shashtri played by Mrs Priyanka Parab was outstanding. She was totally engrossed in her performance. She got many cash prizes from the audience for her creative performance. Audience were enjoying the drama till the end and I enjoyed it too.

HAR HAR MAHADEV

                                        HAR HAR MAHADEV Natak  was seen by me in Casarvarnem village at Ram Mandir Hall during the Ramnavami time. This drama was performed by villagers of Casarvarnem. The problem of stage was not arise as the temple consist of big hall with a stage. The material required for the decoration of stage was provided by Kasarpal Decorators from  Bicholim Goa. The Director of this drama was Mr. Rohidas Padloskar. He was well known Director  from the village Dadachiwadi and it is from Pernem taluka.
                                     The drama was based on Shivaji  and Sambhaji's life. The drama was focused on the different issues during the period of Shivaji time. They also show the fighting scenes in between the drama.  

                                    The drama was beautifully performed by the villagers they got many good comments from the village people. The role of Shivaji and Sambhaji was outstanding and the song which was sung by them was very melodious. Every character in the drama done a good job with regards to their role assign to them. The co-ordination and co-operation was seen between the participants of the drama. Participants also got a huge round of claps and cash prizes for their outstanding performance. Audience were enjoying the drama till the end and it was enjoyable process for me too.

PANDHARICHI WAARI

                                        PANDHARICHI WAARI is a wonderful naatak seen by me at Naveli in Laxmi Narayan Temple, which is performed by "Mahila Mandal" of  Durigwada Naveli Sakhali Goa. This Naatak is basically depend on Sant Tukaram's life.

                                         Naveli Mahila Mandal showed very beautifully how Gaavkars trouble low caste people. Gaavkars treat low caste people as a slave inspite of that Sant Tukaram did not stop praying to god Pandurag. The naatak was on slavery but it was a comedy too. The ABHANG which was sang by Sant Tukaram, Sant Namdev and Sant Soirabai  was very audible, clean, clear and fluent. The harmonium, dolki and taal was played in such a manner that it was looking like it is recorded sound.

                                     

At the end they really performed Dindi showing that they are really going for an Waari. Finally God Pandurang showed them incarnation of himself and this was the way how  naatak came to an end.
                                     The naatak came to an end in a very peaceful manner. The Mahila Mandal Group of Naveli performed this Naatak everywhere because of good public response. They performed this Naatak at Ravindra Bhavan twice, in Laxmi Narayan Temple Naveli and at Kudne temple, they also got golden opportunity to performed this Naatak at Kala Acadamy Panji Goa.
                                  Some people says that woman can't performed Naatak as the man do but by looking at Pandharichi Waari Naatak people did not get any chance to critised on womens. as they performed very well.
